Tim Sanders – Lawyer
Tim works at Labré’s property division. He provides legal advice and conducts litigation on matters including lease agreements for commercial and residential property, non-conformity issues, commission disputes, disputes within or with owner associations and statutory rights and duties between neighbours.
Tim works for a wide range of companies, from property developers and brokers to large and small owner associations. In addition, he regularly acts for private individuals.
Tim gained extensive experience during the more than four years that he worked at the courts of Rotterdam and The Hague and he uses this knowledge for his work at Labré. In those four years he provided support to the bench in a large number of civil cases, primarily by writing draft judgments. This means that he is in the unique position to predict how a judge looks at particular cases and he can weigh the strengths and weaknesses of both parties’ positions.
Tim graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2013 with a Master’s in Law and a so-called Toga Master’s (a programme aimed at careers in the judiciary). After graduating, Tim worked as a legal assistant at the District Court of Rotterdam, where he also worked as an external clerk during his studies. He also worked as a court clerk at the District court of The Hague before joining Labré.
Tim completed the postgraduate Grotius courses Onroerend Goedrecht of the Grotius Academie cum laude.
Tim is a member of the Dutch Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers (VJOJ).
Alongside his work, Tim is also a member of the Royal Netherlands Football Association’s Appeals Committee.
