“Enriching and valuable.”<\/em><\/strong> This is how Shivani Sinha<\/span>, winner of the Jorge Ma\u00f1\u00e1 Award 2024<\/span>, described her experience working with WLN member firm Paoletti Legal Consultants<\/span>\u00a0in Dubai last year. Read on to find out why the Award is so special to our network and supports young lawyers across the world:<\/p>\n “I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to WLN for the Jorge Ma\u00f1\u00e1 Young Lawyers Award 2024, which is an annual grant made by WLN to a lawyer under the age of 35 who is employed by a WLN member firm, in the memory of Mr. Jorge Ma\u00f1\u00e1 Arguelles<\/span> who died tragically in 2009, after a skiing accident.<\/p>\n I would like to take the opportunity to share my experience of working with the Paoletti Legal Consultants<\/span>, Dubai, UAE, under the guidance of Mr. Thomas Paoletti<\/span> and the team, which has been an enriching and valuable learning experience. Throughout my tenure, I was exposed to a variety of legal areas including corporate law, international law, real estate law etc.<\/p>\n Dubai, as we all are aware, is known for its fast-paced, multi-cultural work environment, which has been a great learning experience, especially to build a solid foundation in international law. The experience of working in Dubai with the Paoletti Legal Consultants, with its unique blend of local and international legal practices, has deepened my understanding of varied aspects of law and how they intersect in practice.<\/p>\n I believe this experience has provided me with a fresh perspective on international legal practice and has sharpened my analytical skills, which I am eager to apply in our work in India. Above all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Gautam Khurana<\/span> and India Law Offices LLP<\/span> for the opportunity. It has been an invaluable experience, and I am truly grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me.
