Stephan Kloosterman – Lawyer
Stephan works at Labré’s property division. He provides legal advice and conducts litigation on matters including lease and purchase agreements for commercial and residential property, defects in leased and sold real estate, disputes within or with owner associations, the liability of contractors, tenants and landlords, easements and statutory rights and duties between neighbours.
Stephan’s regular clients include a large number of medium-sized and large national and international companies. He also works for private investors and individuals.
Where at all possible, Stephan tries to reach an amicable settlement, but he does not shy away from legal action when it is called for. He is driven, resolute and results-oriented. His clients appreciate his clear communication and accessibility.
Stephan graduated from VU Amsterdam in 2012. During his studies he worked as an intern in the Court of Amsterdam’s commercial cases team. After graduating, Stephan worked as a lawyer at Schuit Polak Van den Hout Advocaten for almost five years, where he dealt primarily with cases in the fields of tenancy law, construction law and property law.
Stephan completed the Grotius Academy postgraduate course in Property Law. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Real Estate Lawyers (VVJ) and the Dutch Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers (VJOJ).
Stephan gives presentations, workshops and lectures on his field of expertise, both at clients’ offices and in-house.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Stephan is an active board member of the Anaïs Foundation, an organisation that promotes the interests of vulnerable children in southern India.
Mr. Kloosterman has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Vastgoedrecht (Bouwrecht en Burenrecht). Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
