Mauk Huyssen van Kattendijke – Lawyer
Mauk works as an attorney-at-law in corporate and insolvency law. He advises and litigates in the areas of contracts, forms of cooperation, financing, (the enforcement of) securities, and shareholder disputes. In addition, he advises a wide range of companies, directors, financiers, and shareholders on restructuring, directors’ liability, and (impending) bankruptcies. Mauk was also regularly appointed by the district court as a trustee in bankruptcies. In recent years, Mauk has gained experience in a wide range of cases, including in financing and transaction practice.
Mauk enjoys having to make quick decisions under pressure, taking various interests into account. This is also what appeals to him in bankruptcy practice. Mauk is analytical and hands-on: it must be legally sound, but just as pragmatic. In practice, this is often in the best interests of clients.
Mauk provides advice and takes care of everything. He guides you through the proceedings and keeps a cool head – even when you are emotionally involved.
Mauk studied at Utrecht University, Radboud University Nijmegen, and Nottingham Trent University. In 2019, he started as a corporate and insolvency lawyer at a medium-sized law firm in The Hague. At the end of 2025, Mauk made the switch to Labré.
Mauk is a member of the the Association for Young Insolvency Lawyers (vereniging voor Jonge InsolventieRecht Advocaten – Vereniging JIRA).
