Nathalie Berenschot – Lawyer

Nathalie specialises in tenancy law, construction law, the law relating to owners’ associations and the sale and purchase of real estate.

Her work includes drafting and reviewing leases and resolving disputes concerning rents, lease termination, service charges, redevelopment, renovations and defects. She advises directors of owners’ associations and their members (apartment right owners) on a range of matters, including how valid resolutions can be adopted and challenged. In the area of construction law, Nathalie represents clients in disputes relating to sale and purchase agreements and building contracts, such as disagreements regarding contractual penalties and non-conformity in relation to real estate sale and purchase transactions.

She has a characteristic approach, quickly establishing a relationship of trust and telling clients exactly what she thinks about the matter concerning them from a frank and honest perspective. She is noted for her pragmatism and commitment to providing practical advice. She is always guided by the client’s interest and prefers to seek a solution before turning to means of legal enforcement.

Nathalie graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2002. She has since gained extensive litigation experience at various medium-sized niche firms specialising in real estate.

Nathalie is a member of Lighthouse Club Nederland (Amsterdam division), a network for construction and real estate professionals to meet and exchange knowledge and insights.

Mr. Berenschot has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Huurrecht.

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
